BetterQOL is committed to bring quality of life measurements and tools to improve quality of life to patients who suffer from multiple sclerosis.  This site will work either with or without the cooperation of your physician.  We have the initial design but are in the process of raising the money required for programming.

The proposed multiple sclerosis module of BetterQOL.com will track the quality of life (QOL) in patients and correlate this data with treatment changes. Our software system will administer disease specific scales such as the Multiple Sclerosis Quality of Life Inventory (MSQLI). Patients will be surveyed on:

  • General health status
  • Fatige
  • Pain
  • Sexual Satisfaction
  • Bladder Issues
  • Bowel Issues
  • Visual Impairment
  • Perceived Deficits
  • Mental Health
  • Social Support

BetterQOL.com also screens and identifies comorbid conditions such as depression, headache, and restless leg syndrome. Patient medication compliance, drug and disease specific review of systems, and patient education are also performed.

Correlating the patient's quality of life data over time and reporting it to the physician is what makes BetterQOL.com so extraordinary. Merely administering the MSQLI to a patient and obtaining their score for a single point in time does not give the physician or patient much useful data, but knowing their scores over a period of time and correlating those scores to treatment changes can make a huge impact on their care.
